According to the report of The Ministry in Charge of Emergency Management (MINEMA) in Rwanda, there are several incidences and effects caused by Lightning disaster throughout the country especially in Southern Province area. For instance, the Report Annual Disaster Effect in 2024 stated that during 2024 in Rwanda, the Lightning disaster struck and caused 81 deaths and 216 of injured with 206 of incidents. So obviously, lightning disaster and thunderstorm is big issue in Rwanda due to its geographical area and preventive measures should be taken accordingly.
